My new house at Waiheke seemed like a huge project with all the landscaping to decide upon as well. Jane visited the site and listened to the things that I felt were important and that I liked. Jane designed a stunning garden with a lovely flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces. I love that she also incorporated some local stonework and made the garden one that wouldn’t need too much water, which can be short on an island – D King.
Jane at By-Design Landscape Architects came highly recommended to me by my architect. We met with Jane initially to describe what our goals were in creating our ultimate outdoor living area and she thoroughly listened, took photos, and asked lots of questions. At subsequent meetings, she not only presented a to-scale layout with different options but provided a storyboard of colour photographs that included plants, furniture, lighting, and both soft and hardscape options.
